John
Sylvestre - Team Captain
|
John has been in the remodeling industry for over 34 years and started the company
while putting himself through Architecture school at the University of Minnesota,
eons ago. He loves taking an existing home and working closely with the owner to
better fit their current and future needs. He has been active in the Remodeling
industry at both the local and national level and received the Harold Hammerman
Award for Education, the highest in the industry, for his work in developing and
implementing the Certified Lead Carpenter program. He is passionate about the outdoors
and loves expeditions that take him to wild and far away places.

Kate Post -
Production Manager
 |
Kate does it all. She has years of experience in all aspects of running a remodeling company. She covers ever detail of producing your project, from making sure the addition is in the right place to final placement of your cabinet hardware. |
Les Anderson -
Field Supervisor
 |
Les has over 30 years of construction experience, including 28 years in residential
remodeling. He has been with Sylvestre Construction for over 23 years, and a field
supervisor for twelve years. Les is a CLC (Certified Lead Carpenter) and has been
involved with NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry) for over 10
years. In 2006 he started teaching the CLC class for the Minnesota Chapter of NARI.
Les is married and has a son and daughter, and in their spare time, they like racing
snowmobiles and golfing. |
Gregg Hanson -
Estimator
|
Gregg has been in the industry for 24 years. He started out as a Production Carpenter
and quickly became a Lead Carpenter. He eventually moved into the office as an estimator
and has been with SCI since 2000. Gregg married his high school sweetheart and has
two daughters and a son. Gregg enjoys many outdoor activities including biking,
golfing and going on walks with his family. |
Donella Olson -
Project Designer
|
Donella has a varied background in many types of residential architecture, with
experience in new construction as well as historical renovations. She is passionate
about inventive design and consistency with the existing structure. Her combination
of accuracy and creativity adds to the quality produced by Sylvestre Construction.
Donella is married and has two beagles. She and her husband are very active on a
local Kick Ball League. |
Heidi Lehrke -
Office Manager
|
Heidi has over 15 years of experience in a variety of Senior Accountant/Office Manager
positions, as well as managing all Credit and Collections. She has been in charge
of company functions from Payroll to Human Resources, to managing union correspondence
while working at other companies. She has been involved in both the aviation industry
and different construction trades. Heidi loves to snow and water ski, playing softball
and is very active with all of her family's activities. |
Don Ellingson -
Lead Carpenter
|
Don is a CLC (Certified Lead Carpenter) and has been a carpenter for 18 years. His
favorite part of the job is working with the homeowners and doing all aspects of
remodeling from demolition through finishing a project. He has been with Sylvestre
Construction for three years. Don and his wife Theresa, and they both love watching
their two boys play sports. |
Craig Windle -
Lead Carpenter
|
Craig has been a carpenter for over 28 years. Prior to joining Sylvestre Construction
16 years ago, he was involved in new construction for ten years. Craig is married
with two sons and a daughter. He keeps very busy with all his children's activities,
from his sons' baseball and hockey games to his daughter's cheerleading.

Lisa Heyer -
Project Development, CKBR
|
Lisa is new to Sylvestre Construction, but not to the industry. She has a BFA in Interior Design and is a Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler (CKBR). Since 1997, Lisa has been redesigning clients' homes to meet their needs and recognize their home's potential. |
Chris Peters -
Lead Carpenter
|
One of our newest field staff, Chris joins us with almost 20 years of construction experience. Chris has been a Marine, Electrical Technician, and General Contractor
moving around the U.S. before coming back to Minnesota. He is also making progress toward becoming a Certified Building Inspector. |
